CVCS Student Spotlight Shines on Emily Gosliga
Congratulations to Emily Helen Gosliga for being recognized in the CVCS’ Student Spotlight! Emily is a fifth grade student and is the daughter of Jeff and Julia Gosliga of Addison. She has four younger siblings. Kate and Troy also attend CVCS; Summer and Jordyn are future CVCS students. Emily’s family attends the New Haven United Reformed Church.
Emily is a very diligent student. She puts a lot of effort into being neat and doing her assignments well. Her favorite subject is math because it varies in difficulty, involves a lot of computation and mind work, and is fun! Emily was the fifth grade winner of the CVCS Spelling Bee and represented CVCS at the Association of Christian Schools International Vermont Spelling Bee where she placed second among the fifth grade students.
This year, Emily has also put a lot of effort into being a loving friend to her fellow classmates. Her work in this area has not gone unnoticed!
Outside of school, Emily loves to play sports. She plays softball for the Vergennes Area Youth League, soccer for Addison Central School, and has played basketball for CVCS. She is taking piano lessons and helps out with calf feeding on her family’s dairy farm. Emily also enjoys baking, drawing, camping, biking, and swimming.
She is undecided about what she would like to do as a future career. Maybe a doctor or nurse? Maybe a partner on the family farm?
Emily’s favorite Bible verse is Philippians 4:13- "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." Emily’s reason for choosing this verse is, “Because Jesus gives me the strength to do my daily work and every day things.”
We are blessed to have Emily as part of our school community and pray that she will continue to strive to do her best in all areas of life and give God the glory!
