Cornerstone Preschool Hires New Teacher

Cornerstone Preschool is pleased to announce that Julie Haaijema has been hired as our head preschool teacher for Cornerstone Preschool.

Julie is a licensed teacher in the state of Vermont with 2 and ½ years of experience in early elementary and preschool classrooms. She has also served as an on-site mentor for the Stern Center, where she advised instructors on the administration of pre-literacy curricula for preschool-age children.

Most recently, she held the position of co-classroom teacher at Annette’s Preschool in Hinesburg, where she was an integral part of lesson planning, performance assessment, and classroom management. She also undertook the development of an Art History unit, and implemented early education literacy activities as part of the daily classroom routine.

Julie holds a Bachelor of Arts degree with a minor in Art History from Castleton State College, and has earned 36 credit hours towards a Master’s in Education.

We at Cornerstone are extremely excited about the energy, organization, artistic talent, and early classroom experience Julie will bring to our preschool program.

Welcome Wednesdays at CVCS

We are happy to introduce Welcome Wednesdays for parents considering enrolling their child at the Champlain Valley Christian School. We invite you and your child to come to CVCS on any Wednesday to get a tour of our beautiful building, visit the classrooms, and meet the teachers.
